For the first time in its 51 year history, the Central States VHF Society (CSVHFS) Conference will occur in Albuquerque on July 27-30 at the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport hotel, hosted by the members of Rocky Mountain Ham Radio. This event is the largest VHF/UHF/microwave conference in the nation, and attracts some of the most knowledgable VHF/UHF/microwave hams from across the United States, Canada and other countries.

This conference is open to those interested in learning, operating, experimenting, designing, contesting, DXing, etc. on amateur radio’s VHF, UHF, and microwave bands. Whether you're a complete newcomer to VHF & above, an expert, or somewhere in between, the CSVHFS Conference will have much to offer in the way of enjoyable activities, learning opportunities, and the chance to rub elbows with some of our nation’s top VHF+ operators.

Activities include semi-technical and technical presentations, a display of VHF/UHF/microwave contest rover vehicles from around the nation, a display of portable microwave stations and dish antennas, posterboard presentations, VHF+ vendors, a VHF/UHF/microwave equipment swapfest, luncheons and banquet dinner with guest speakers, prizes, an outdoor antenna range for attendees to measure the performance of their VHF/UHF/microwave antennas, QSL card checking, a specially arranged tour of the NRAO Very Large Array (VLA), family activities, and more.

There will also be an program designed especially for beginners, much of it organized by the NM VHF Society: The VHF101 and VHF102 programs will consist of activities and presentations tailored for the curious and for beginners, teaching what the world of VHF/UHF/microwaves is all about, the exciting activities that happen on those frequencies, how to get started, where to find resources, and more.
